Greetings from Route 66, Tucumcari, NM

Paul here ...

Today, on our return trip back east on Route 66 we came through Tucumcari, NM and spotted this mural on a wall.

I had spoken with Aunt Irene after we started our trip down Route 66 this summer, and she reminded me that she made the trip west in about 1957 with Uncle Larry, Aunt Rita plus Ellen and Danny.

I reminded her that I remembered the car they took on their trip to California was a '55 Dodge similar to the car on this mural. (which is a '56 Dodge with the tri-color paint scheme that was popular during the late 50's)

Aunt Irene, I want to know, did you pose for this mural in 1957 ? This sure looks like you. :-)

You remember some folks' cars that THEY have already forgotten. :-)

It's good to have someone remembering cars for the whole family, and each person in our neighborhood, and Paul's entire paper route. No one else is tracking this except Paul. :-)
