A Daoust Thanksgiving

Carolyn Gracey-I have posted a newspaper article that Aunt Irene gave me a while ago. See if you can find your parent before you look at the key. I would love to know what that lamp would be worth today.
I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.

Wow, what a treat to see that one again. I think I may have seen that one many years ago. Good timing for a replay, Carolyn.

Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday of all. We are looking forward to a dinner here in NC with Linda's mother, her brother, and a few friends. You will see a picture.

Here's a challenge to y'all. Let's see how many Thanksgiving pictures we can post here. Put a picture of your family and Thanksgiving guests here. The winner will be the one with the largest bunch of folks gathered for Thanksgiving.

No cheating now. Each person in the picture has to eat something at your house. If they don't eat a slice of pie or something they can't be in the photo.

Be sure to tell us who is in the picture.

Right by grampa's right hand is a face that could be mine. According to the list of names it is Uncle Willy.

Does anyone know what year this photo was taken?

Did you try to date this picture ?

I noticed the following:

Marie and Guy were married in November '45,
Al and Julia were married in April '46,
Ed and Jeanne were married in June '46
Rita and Larry were married in April '47.
Theresa had just died in August '47

So I think, assuming each of the above were already married by the time this picture was taken, it has to be at least November '47.

I also noticed that our folks Ed and Jeanne are missing from the photo and in November '47 they too would have been married. I wonder where they were when this picture was taken ?

Thanks for posting this Carolyn, I have never seen it before. It was fun to try to figure out who everyone was, I did't get them all right.
